About us

Growing up, I wore the hijab as my parents guided me to, but I struggled to understand its deeper meaning. In high school, I took it off, not feeling the connection to why I should wear it.

However, five years ago, I prayed sincerely, asking Allah (SWT) for the intention (niyyah) to wear it again. Subhan'Allah, my dua was answered, and I was overcome with emotion. When I put on the hijab once more, it felt like I was wearing it for the very first time—like a jewel being carefully adorned.

In that moment, the image of pearls and diamonds came to mind: both are precious, hidden away, and protected, much like how we are, as beautiful creations of Allah (SWT), given the free will to choose modesty.

I realized then that modesty is more than just an outward practice—it is a reflection of inner strength and faith. As Fatima Al Zahra (R.A) beautifully said, “Modesty is the best jewel of a woman.” Everything precious is covered, just like a pearl in its shell or a diamond hidden deep within the earth. Through modesty, we honor our worth and the blessings bestowed upon us by Allah (SWT).

I felt compelled to share this experience, hoping to inspire others to see the beauty and strength in modesty.
